What We Offer:
We offer a boutique lactation support experience serving Edmonton and *surrounding area. We are here to help strengthen your knowledge and ability to feed your baby. Giving you personal attention, we help you feel your concerns are heard and do our best to give you the best care and evidence based advice for your unique situation.
An in home visit for those struggling with breastfeeding. This will include going over current issues and history, observing a feed, weighing baby, oral assessment, an agreed upon care plan, help with your pump and flange fitting if needed. You will also receive an email with the care plan and communication via text or email for 2 weeks after the appointment.
This appointment is for those who had an initial Busy Bee appointment but have new or additional concerns that need to be addressed. Also can be for tongue tie release follow up.
The sweetest package! This is a 1 hour prenatal breastfeeding teaching appointment followed by a Busy Bee appointment after that sweet bundle is born. Whether you are having your first baby and have a million questions about breastfeeding or your 8th baby and want to go over previous issues and be prepared, this is a great investment!

An Alberta girl through and through, I was born and raised in this great province. Currently, I have had the great privilege of living on an acreage near Stony Plain. In 1996, I received my BScN, became a registered nurse and in 2023 I received the title of International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Much of my career has been spent caring for families of every shape and size at a very busy family practice clinic in Spruce Grove. As a proud mom to 4 amazing young men, I know that becoming a parent is an awesome privilege but also a challenge like no other. My passion? Moms. Oh I love babies but it brings me such joy to help moms feel empowered by equipping them with knowledge of how their bodies and their babies form an amazing life-giving team. I look forward to helping your breastfeeding journey be as sweet as can be.

1 / Will my insurance cover this service?
Because I am a Registered Nurse, there are some plans that have coverage for RN home visits. Others have a health spending account that allows for this service to be reimbursed. I am not able to direct bill, but upon payment you will receive a detailed receipt with my professional numbers attached that you can submit to your insurance provider.
2 / What is an IBCLC?
An IBCLC is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. It is the highest level of training and certification a lactation professional can achieve and is considered the "gold standard". IBCLCs are clinical professionals who can provide advanced support for complex breastfeeding challenges, such as latch difficulties, low milk supply, oversupply, breast or nipple pain, and medical issues affecting breastfeeding. An IBCLC is required to maintain ongoing education in order to maintain their designation.
